Preheat oven to 275.
Using oven proof glass bakeware place basil and olive oil into preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Allow oil to cool somewhat before straining out the basil. Store the oil in a small glass jar with a tight fitting lid. Use the oil as a dipping sauce for bread or to make salad dressing.
