Chervil and shallot vinaigrette

The Kenter Canyon Farms test kitchen has a few indispensable, go to recipes and this is one of them. We find so many uses for this sauce that we always make up some extra to use throughout the week. Sauce grilled meats, breads, vegetables, soups, salads and sandwiches. Just about everything is improved with a spoonful of chervil and shallot vinaigrette.


Makes about 2 cups

  • 1 bunch Kenter Canyon Farms organic chervil chopped fine
  • 1-2 shallots chopped fine
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ¼ cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 cup olive oil


Prep: 20 min • Ready in: 20 min

Combine the chopped shallots, salt, sugar and white wine vinegar in a bowl. Allow to macerate for 20 minutes. Stir in the chervil and olive oil and dress your favorite Kenter Canyon farms salad mix.
